CONSULTATION
I believe that it is our responsibility to offer culturally responsive and quality mental health services to the folx we work with in a way that honors their humanity while being responsive to their individual cultural and socio-political needs. I’m an advocate for quality supervision of new clinicians, for thought partnering of seasoned clinicians and for non-licensed mental health associates, advocates, activists, wellness professionals and educators who aren’t trained as therapists to engage in professional development around trauma informed care and culturally responsive mental health supports.
The one-on-one and group consultation I provide is entirely focused on your particular needs as a therapist or wellness professional. My consultation style and support hopes to create a safe, non-judgmental and caring space for you to think deeply about the client’s you’re serving. You may want to get consultation around:

An interview with Adriana Rodriguez, LMFT, about how to support bilingual, bicultural therapists. Curt and Katie talk with Adriana about her experiences as a clinician as well as her perception of the systemic concerns that bilingual/bicultural therapists face. We also dig into common work challenges for these clinicians, the ethical and competency concerns monolingual supervisors face, and specific action steps for individuals and organizations to increase the quality of supervision and training for these clinicians.
